Here's mine finally, flat pin, flat wire hook. This is one of the pattern without the block under the hinge.

Apart from missing the block under the hinge, everything else seems to match mine, especially the pin shape and catch. Does yours have anything else stamped, ie an inspector's mark like the "D" stamped on mine? (If that is, indeed what it is.) Wondering if this is a feature of CD's?

Moving away from EK1's for a moment...

How about an EK2...marked CD 800 on the ring? Does anyone have one? Or seen one before? Picked this up at a show yesterday (from another Association Member - thanks again Martin!)

Here's another one off of a bar. It's a bit different than yours.

markings: 'CD' is incused while the .800 is stamped on the ring.

It has a thinner pin, tiny block, and the catch is round-wire. I guess that CD's can come in all sorts of permutations, huh?
