    J/AWS EK2 with 1. Form Spange

Some time ago I got this very nice combo of a 1. Form Spange and a J/AWS EK2 "Wideframe".

The ribbon has a buttonhole sewn into it, and the cross has a pin device added.

I love the setup, but I wonder, how in the world would this have been worn? I almost think it could have been worn on non-military clothing? The set came with a Black Wound Badge, but no evidence or indication that they were from the same man except, "they've always been together."

    Best regards,

A beautiful set and yet another example of personalization, individual taste, ease of wear...... I think I'm starting to give up trying to figure these things out

        Hi Trevor,

incredible... were do you find these things?

Although its not the right forum; could you make a close-up of the head of the eagle? It looks mean and full of detail!

        Best regards,
        Michel

                Thanks Michel,

Over the last few years I have developed relationships with particular dealers who know exactly what I am looking for, which at this point is very limited -- J/AWS or Godet EKs, and (at this moment) a nice example of one specific Prussian Order. I often help ID unmarked EKs for their updates, or offer other small help where I can, and as a thank you of sorts some of them will put a piece aside for me every once in a while. This is exactly how I got this particular set. And of course I have a network of friends from this and other forums who are mostly my teachers (Ben, Robert, Marshall, Mike, Sascha, etc etc) but also sometimes trading partners.

could you make a close-up of the head of the eagle?
Yes, of course. Give me some time, I am a sloooow photographer.

Thank you, Greg. This is one of the nicer additions I've had in a long time and I'm very happy you like it, too.

The existing photo was crisp enough to blow up, so I just did that. He is a mean looking bird all right.

                        Thanks Jon,

That is high praise coming from you

Shall I make you more jealous? This came in within six weeks of that one.
