Here is next one - really nice Baden officer ribbon bar from second half of WW1.

Prussia Iron Cross 2nd Class
Prussia Hohenzollern House Order
Baden Zahringer Lion Order with the Swords and Oakleaves
Baden Jubilee Medal 1902
Saxony Albert Order with the Swords

So, he entered to army between 1897-1902. Native Badener and Hauptmann/Major in the second half of the war. How many suspects there can be for this combination?

Probably quite a few. TR Reichsleiter Walter Buch was from Baden and joined the military in 1901. (114th Baden Inf) He received the EK2 and Zahringer Lion Order with swords and ended the war as a Major. I have no idea if he won the HHO or any Saxon awards but I'm just pointing out that there might be more candidates for that ribbon bar than you might think. Gary

Yes, I don't doubt that these awards can be common enagh for WW1 officers but, what should help to narrow down a little is Jubilee and only Baden Jubilee. He wasn't in service yet 1897 but he received Baden Jubilee, so he entered to the army between 1897-1902.

Also what helps is the bar reverse () field grey construction - it was in use only second half of the war, until run out of stock. So, all these officers, who received something during early period of war from Bavaria, Wurttemberg, etc as well early in the war can exclude as a owner of the set.

I afraid this one will remain like it is - nice unnamed Baden officer bar from WW1 period because to narrow owners of similar combinations down, mean LOTS of work and checking all different entries, what I am not able to do and researchers usually don't do it just for thank you.

But still nice one and few experts here as well I think can tell aprox number of combination Hohenzollern, Zahringer and Albert owners.
