Is it is or is it ain't

This just arrived from "Da Man" in Germany and I'm not sure what to call it. It's stamped non-magnetic sheet metal with 2 tabs on the back, the lower broken off but present. So, is it a "lightweight" 1870 EKI, similar to the 1914 stamped pinbacks, or just a neat piece of decoration? I'd like a few opinions as to whether this should be added to Blitz's list. It measures 44 mm. Detlev, what do you say? It's your baby

--I'd say it was intended as a decorative piece for something solid - maybe a box-lid, the tabs being added after the fact (for use on cloth, maybe).

Maybe for the cover of a photo album.

That was pretty much my feeling too, but one lives in hope

Rest assured that even though you can't add it to the list it remains a pretty cool item.

It would fit right in on the dash of my friend's VW bug.

Or inlaid into the front of a display case. My mentor had a mini soldered onto the bell of his tuba

I promise that when I get a chance I will take some picks of the dash on this guy's car. People would freak! He has '70 minis, Husaren tags, and all sorts of stuff stuck onto it!
