          You know George it looks exactly like mine, the core that is. The beading somewhat different unless it's the wear. And, no hump, although as little room as there is with the hole in the frame the hump looks like it may have been a much needed improvement. Or to stretch, same core maker, different frame maker? Same core/frame maker 2nd generation frame?

            Hugo, that is. Born 19 May 1834 in Friederikendorf, alive 1908. Made it to Generalleutnant aD (he's some ranka General there). In 1890 Commander of Fusilier Regiment 80 (Oberst 14.5.87 K) and his ultimate awards were as shown--

            Crown 2nd with Star and "swords on Ring"
            EK1 and 2 1870
            Crown 3rd with Xs
            Prussian HHO 3rd
            XXV
            Alsen
            Düppel
            1864
            1866
            1870-71
            1897
            and a Mecklenburg-Schwerin FFC 2nd (1870?)

            left service as CO of 12th Infantry Brigade.
