    Hi Fred,

    I'm attaching the other two images here to keep everything together.

    Imo the obverse design (not reverse maker mark / finishing) does not match genuine Schott marked badges, therefore imo the badge is a fake/fantasy piece.

    Regards
    Mike

      Hi Fred,

      IMO, not an original badge, certainly not an original Schott marked one at that.

      Try searching here and type in "u-boat" for several past threads on these and you'll see the differences right away.

        I don't know what drugs I was on at the time.

        The above should read;

        "Imo the obverse design (AND reverse maker mark / finishing) does not match genuine Schott marked badges, therefore imo the badge is a fake/fantasy piece."

          Fred, I refrained from saying anything when you sent me the photos because I felt you needed to hear it from someone else. I can only agre with what has already been said, not a good one.

            U-Boat Badge

            Hello,
            You can add me to the list. The piece is no good and does not match a real badge with the Schott mark.

            I have seen one of these screwback U-boats before. It was at an OMSA show several years ago.

            Regards,
            Jody
