    Question regarding German State medals

Can anyone recommend a good reference on German State medals/orders? All I have is a little pocketbook by Joerg Nimmergut and the pictures are in black and white of the front only.

    Thanks in advance

I think the Nimmergut books are the best you will find that have the many diiferent states medals in one book.

Thanks for your input. I will see if I can find that Nimmergut book.

I have 2 early books of his - Deutsche Militaria 1808-1945 (1982) and Deutsche Orden (1979)

              Speaking of this book...

Is Niemann's price guide also good to have in addition to Nimmergut's? Or are they about the same? Any advice would be welcome.

The new Joerg Nimmergut book on medal and a separate book on ribbons are both in color.
