    Hi Joerg,

i suppose, it isnĀ“t a big help, but here it is:

    1st EK 2
    2nd ?
    3rd FEK
4th Austrian Military Merit Cross with War Decoration
    5th Austrian Commemorative Medal
    6th Hungarian Commemorative Medal

Looks like a Papal order, which are not uncommon in Austrian groups. From what I can see, which isn't much cause I'm half blind to start with, it looks like a St.Gregory.

I agree with stevenm; my second guess would be for a "local" award from the Austrian Republic.

          Nice!

              Maybe something from Monaco?

The cross shape looks like that.

              Best regards

I too agree with Steve...almost certainly a Vatican Order of St Gregory.

Very interesting and attractive chain Joerg!

                Cheers,

                Adam

The interior of the Order of St. Gregory the Great is for lack of better words a dark red (burgandy??) color edged gold, not the white shown here, also the top wreath would be green not gold. Oh yeah . . . no between the arms wreath on the St G.

                  Back to square one, whattheheckizit?

Here comes a detail scan of the cross - the rear shows nothing, it is just with a golden finish.
