BTW, what are the ribbons dimensions? The bar looks homemade from bought parts. Maybe the ribbons are smaller than the normal 16mm?

Just stumbled across this old half-forgotten post...

No idea quite frankly. This ribbon bar is one that I found on eBay a while back. The backing seems normal enough looking, so I'm inclined to think that it isn't totally homemade. If it had some sort of a wierd tin can backing, that might be another story alltogether.
