    Pre-WWI Imperial Ribbon Bars?

These ribbon bars confuse me. Are they Franco-Prussian War era? (Alternately, are they totally random BS?)

    Hi,
what is the size of the 1st one? It looks odd and I do not think it is pre-WW1.

2nd one is a Medal bar without decorations (see the hooks on the backside) of a Enlisted man or Junior NCO as Veteran on 1866 and 1870 made after 1897.
This style was worn by that guys as medal bar or without the medals as ribbon bar.

    Best regards

    Daniel

Take them (as the image links show) from whence they come!

The first is what we call technically a Piece Of Crap because it is made with a 1930s+ "U" catch stamped steel backing masquerading as pre 1897.

The other is as daniel says, ordinary circa 1897 enlisted bar, horrible nasty sharp jagged sloppy but EXACTLY as typical of that period.

The seller's sterling reputation didn't exactly engender a great deal of confidence, but since they're of a type so out of my area of (if you can call it that) expertise, I had to ask..

        Thanks,
