No, it match not my old Godet i think this one is smaller than the "old godet"...

the riffle looks imo thicker ...the crown and the W is differnt, too

and it could be that the core is not cast....but this i can not say too 100% based on the pics....

Hi Walther, as we know it's on a Godet Button similar to the one below. No idea how big that cross is though.

Not sure of any of those "Godet Buttoned" ones, all have cast cores with very weak details. Not at all the overall quality you would expect from a Godet product. Found them in 31, 32 and 26mm so far but only saw 5 different examples.

I know it can be frustrating to post something and get no definite replies.

I don't think we can say too much about this piece other than that it looks good in terms of construction and materials. Unfortunately we also know that doesn't mean too much these days.

Overall, I have to say that I am inclined to think of it as a period (probably late 19th C.) piece -- but I have no evidence for saying that, just my gut feeling -- based on photos, no less. As with many private-purchase and Reduktion pieces, it will probably have to remain a bit of a mystery unless or until an identical example appears in a solid group, or with an unassailable and recognizable maker's mark.

It would not be very easy to cast a core that small, could explain the weak details.

The 5 i saw so far all seems to have period ribbons, 4 of them got '25 oaks' attached. The overall setup looks good to me. Never saw any other award on that kind of button exept for the below.

If genuine would suspect it was made for the 1895 jubilee.

Would say i'm about 70/30 in favor for it.

my english is very bad, but i will give some infos to this piece i have post here....

It comes form the vets family in a small group.

I will post a pic of the group if it have arrived, i think on saturday.

Can we compare a piece from 32mm with a piece from 26mm ?

The core is cast. I will say a "master-cast".....if i compare it with my old godet the quality of this one ist 100% better

No known fake match the cross.

I will put here very good pics of it ...if i can hold it in my hands.....

I think I like your cross. I think Carl is correct in saying that these are
probably made post 1895 given the overall quality of the piece and the fact
that most of these are seen with the 25 year Jubiläumsspange.

You got this one plus the fullsized and knopfloch from the same family?
Can you provide any information about the recipient?

Lovely pics Walther! Cross looks lots better now, nice patina and die flaws. The non com ribbon seems original to me.

All in all this looks better and better! A Prinzen on a 'non com' ribbon is the rarest EK one can find so it's good to be wary. If you ever decide to part with it please PM me.
