Someone posted this on another forum and I thought you might find
it interesting. This is the first time I have seen the "Max Küst" name.

I am useing thses pictures with the permission of the owner, Gew44.
I watermarked the pictures so there is no confusion on who these
belong to.

here is the cross-- a very nice looking, maker marked "K".

UPDATE
I just found out that the bag and cross were purchased seperately.
So we still don't know who the maker of the "K" crosses is--however
this does raise another possibility.

I should have waited on posting this as there was a bit of a
language barrier. My bad.

But this does bring to light a previously unknown maker of
Imperial awards.

Interesting find Greg, I've seen a few of these on other forums and also tags sewn to the reverse of medal bars bearing the same name. There is also Paul Kust.
I always wondered if they were actually makers or retailers? Maybe creating medal bars and jewelry from existing orders? Or outsourcing from somewhere?

This cross is also seen with an R mark, Rosner? Always many questions.

Paul Küst made miniatures, vet association pins, campain bars regimental
pins and possibly the 25 year oakleaf spange. They also mounted medals
on medal bars. I do not think they produced awarded medals such
as the Ek or Rao , ect.

The Paul Kust example had me thinking, that's an awful lot of major awards to be fabricating. I think the "Fabrik von Paul Kust" might mean Medal bars designed by PK.

Which might hold true for a lot of "retailers". Wasn't there a discussion going on about Sedlatzeck?
