I just purchased this medics leather pouch. Is it by the style and stamp WWII or WWI period? Thanks!

Stamped "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz", "Sanitäts******?", "Markt-Wilhermsdorf" and "5". No swastika visible but was this type of stamp WWI or WWII period because of the eagle?

          <DIR>Hi Jens,
I have seen or have a lot of 1st war leather, none is black like this except the Mauser pouches later in the war. Usually, leather pouches are light or very dark brown and smooth. However, the Red Cross was not technically military, but it looks more like Second War?

As for the DRK after 1935, the eagle sits on the red Cross and has a Swastika on the middle of the eagle.
The DRK was founded in 1921- before, there had been the
Red Cross Associations of the German countries-
e.g: preussisches Rotes Kreuz, bayerisches Rotes Kreuz etc.

Nice pouch looks very similar to the brown I had listed here a couple of days ago. Stampings are different but very similar. Chris
