    Maker's Mark 'GM'

Has anyone ever seen an EK2 (or EK1) marked 'GM'?

I would love to see any examples.

In fact, any decoration with that mark.

Even any ideas on what or who it could stand for would be very welcome.

Don, is 'GM' found in that book we discussed here on the forum recently on marks?

It's a real mystery to me of great interest.

Thanks in advance for any help.
    Best regards,
    Streptile

Get yer mind outta the gutter, Don...

OK, I really should have started this thread off with a question, so I will begin anew.

What marks do you guys see here?

It doesn't have to be 'GM,' or even oriented that way. In fact, if it's oriented in the same direction as the silver content mark, it wouldn't be 'GM.'

So please, what do you see?

              Different light:

                  Looks like a 'Half moon' '7' and a 'M'???

                  Or a 'W' 'L' and 'Half Moon'?

Yes ... maybe a silver mark and a M , I dont think it would be a W as the letters sides are straight ? .

                      A half-moon, huh?

                      That's an interesting thought.

Let me ask you guys this:

Does anyone see any relationship between this mark, and this mark (that was discussed at length HERE)?

                      Best regards,

This is regarding the linked thread, I see Hansen....something in the large image. Text between 925 and Heinz. Too bad the photos are not clearer.

Maybe the CSI techs who pull a reflection off a mirror could help lol

interesting... slightly similar to 'We' but nothing obvious is jumping out there

Thank you for your thoughts so far, guys.

I hope to hear some more opinions on the mark. If you have an idea, please post it -- even if you're not a regular poster here. I'd like to hear what you see in the EK2 mark.

Also, a question: Are half-moon stamps always like this:

                            (

...or are they ever seen like this?

                            )
                            Best regards,

Never saw them like this )

                              Always (

That would indicate a 7? and M, most logical considering the straight arms of M, not like a W.
