Hello,

it is a trifold ribbon.... in germany different regions had different styles of mounting medal bars , ribbon bars or even single medals....we call a speacial way of mounting medal bars the "south style" or "bavarian style" , Württemberg medal bars had another special way of mounting and so on.... on trifold ribbons only two "german" states wore their medals : Saxony and Austria and this is the typical style for soldiers of Saxony with the typical corners : the saxon style
