Please help ID epaulettes and belts

    Dear Forum Members,

I just picked up this set of epaulettes and 2 belts. I only know they are Imperial German, can someone please identify the rank and branch of the epaulettes, and the two belts. Both belts have 2 piece construction buckles, the crown on each is a seperatly applied piece. One buckle is gold crown on gold field, the other is gold crown on silver field. Many thanks in advance!

    Dave.

The belts appear to be Bavarian army officer's belts. If the small stipes in the silver trim on the epaulettes is black, then they're Prussian. At first I thought they are for a colonel (Oberst), but then I realized the fringe is too thick and they would only have two pips not three. So, the must be for a general officer. From the color and without any unit number or a cypher, I think they might be from the Garde-Train-Bataillon, or for a Train officer, but I'm not certain.
