RAO Grand Cross Star question

read somewhere why the GC Star center medallion differs from the normal RAO medallions but can not find it now.

What's the crest on the Grand Cross Star for example? It's not the Hohenzollern Crest found on most RAO's which is black and white.

Could the GC Star be awarded with swords?

Grand cross stars to the RAO were awarded with oakleaves, swords,
swords on ring and many combinations of these attachments.
