    As I know very little about makers and details, as long as they are authentic, I try to obtain ones that are asthetically pleasing.

      I have recently added another Imp. EK II to my collection. As has been said before, it is a slippery slope.

                The count between Imp. and TR is about even and I only bought my first Imp. about two months ago!

                  The Imperial EKs are so much more interesting, in my opinion, because there are so many small design elements on each one that differ from core to core: crowns, initials, oakleaves, dates. With the TR EKs, you get a date and a swastika, neither of which lends itself to much variation.
