The manufacturing of a Mini K
Got the mini yesterday and it's made of the following pieces/material.
Ribbonring, Gold. It is split and works as a spring loaded ring. Can be attached and taken off very easy.
Jumpring, Gold
Enamelled cross, gilded Silver (or bronze). The enamelled cross is made of 2 parts, front and back and then solded together.
"Engraved inlay" inside the enamel, Gold
Blue enamelled rings with writing, Gold
Center discs with crown and cyphers, die stamped in gilded Silver (or Bronze).
This means that the cross is a '6 parts' made one, 2 enamelled sides soldered together with inlays in Gold. The inlays are engraved, that's why they have to be made of Gold and not gilded metal, engraving would ruin the gilding. 2 die stamped center discs are then attached to the back and front using the 2 Blue enamelled Gold rings. Pics coming up to better illustrate this.
When considering that the size is 18,5mm one can only imagine the work put into this mini.

"Engraved inlay", inside the enamel, is part of the cross and therefore gilded Silver. It had to be engraved before the gilding was done.
