      Carl,
I like this cross but I'm not so sure that it's a Godet. The hardware
is wrong for a Godet and I don't think I have ever seen a Godet marked "800",
where the 800 has been in a box.

This one is exactly the 2nd one of this type I've ever seen. How must a"Godet" Prinzen look like?

A nice looking cross. Great patina. Good craftsmanship. Can the markings be linked to any other Godet product?

I still find it odd that fullsized 1914 Godets have the 800 stamped just
like the makers mark (not in a box) .

Here's Michas cross. A perfect match exept for the lack of "Berlin" stamp.

Thread starter arrived yesterday and the marks looks good, they been on the cross since it was made imo. The 2 lines, 'Godet' and 'Berlin', is probably on the same stamp and not stamped separately. I'ts small but even, nicely struck and the very nice Silver patina is covering it.

'Incuse 800' mark does not match the ones i saw before, the line surrounding the "800" is more square than the one found for example on the 'slanted W Incuse 800' crosses. It also seems to have been on the cross forever.

Has anybody seen a incuse 800 mark on any Godet product before?

Overall quality and manufacture is what one would expect from a Godet. Good solder job, even vaulting, no play in the needle and hinge. It "feels good in hand".

Core is a solid one, not like the hollow ones found on C F Zimmermann and the "alledged AWS" Prinzen. It's probably struck in the vaulted shape.

Only things do not like so far is the slightly crooked inner corners, corroded core and the high price.

                          New pics coming up soon.

I never like the high price
