Oh God! This is DREADFUL, with all the crossed out, words stuck in above and below lines...
Hat sich (XX) August 1916 als Verbindungsoffizier bei der (illegible word here or line below or ???) Infanterie durch schnelle Plan und zuerlässige Meldungen ausgezeichnet.
Section crossed out starts Hat es dabei durch...
It is really SUCH a "rough draft on a napkin" MESS that it is hard to follow what is struck out, changed, inserted, and so on. There is something about being in the trenches against the English 9.8.15, but so many strike outs and insertions make it difficult to follow, and then again to 29.2.16 and near Verdun, again in the trenches and 250 prisoners...
I can't follow the massive changes and rewrites, nothing to do with the handwriting itself. The narrative "tangle" is too hard to follow.

Hi guys,
thanks for the efforts. As soon as I get this paper (I got it together with his EK1 with case!) I'll post a clear scan of it. Maybe I can reconstruct the unit/name etc. Especially the citation about Verdun is very interesting.
