Guys,
I just love this stuff. Sometimes the deeper you dig the more questions you have no answer for. Here is another funky crown from my collection. This cross is three piece construction, but all parts are magnetic even the jump ring. The maker is another unknown "MFH" Mother Fu$%ing Hell !

I can't figure out why the pics look overly painted and lack of detail, any suggestions?

I've updated the crown comparison image above with the better scans. Still 3 different crowns imo but I can certainly see Tony's point more clearly now with the resemblance to the post-war Meck-Schwerin crown!

Bobby lee, if the cross is slightly vaulted try scanning it with 90 or 180 deg rotation (then manipulate the image later to view it normally). It can make a big difference. We all know how hard EKs are to image!

Daniel, thanks for the explanation. That's what I imagined but it's good to know for sure. The cores seems to have a very neat paint job on them considering the integral frames.
