Thanks for the pics. It is in great condition. It must have been very well cared for in the last 90 years.

          Hi,

nice cross! Nice karton! However I thought that these crosses where attributed to Deumer in the 30-s. So could it be an awarded piece? Do the award karton and the replacement cross belong together?

          Best regards,
          Michel

I don't know the date. Nothing paper's was there. Only this IC set and a Medalbar with
                EK 2 and Friedrichkreuz.

                Greetings Andi

I believe these crosses were made during WWI.

It doesn't detract at all, but I think this one is a 30's issue also...

                      Hi Trevor,

I always thought that these where 20-30s, even TR Deumer crosses. I would be pleased to hear otherwise. Do you have more info on your statement?

                      This is the same cross:

                      Thanks,

I agree but, I'm not 100% sure about it.
I have exactly the same cross and case. The cross is a three piece all Brass model and resembles a WW1 type manufacture although who really knows.

Is the one shown magnetic or non-mag?

                        Nice ensemble by the way.

The cross has a non magnetic core , three piece variant..

                            Thanks Andi

I was looking at the reverse of yours again and it does seem to have a brass frame also. It looks like it by the catch?

I'm about 90% to the plus side of thinking these were war time production. My example is fairly worn with a repaired catch of the same style that i've seen on period field repairs.

Regardless, these are nice EK's with loads of character and a nice crown

                            Chris

                              Hi Chris,

I could say the same for myself. There is a bit of uncertainty, but I'm almost sure.
                              Best regards,
