Nice Mike! Would really like to see some close ups of your EKI Prinzen if possible. Never saw that version before.

Sure. This is the REAL Meybauer, not one of the many fakes with a Meybauer marking.

            Obverse...

Hi Greg, do you have the measurements and weight for the one in post 3? It seems to be a Meybauer!

                  Carl,
I do believe it to be a Meybauer. The details are a bit week but the
crown and inner corners seem to match George's prinzen screwback.

The size is 34.1mm X 34.0mm and is 8.9g without the ribbon.

here is a closeup of the crown and corners.

                        Indeed,
                        they aren't a lot.
There are 3 so far in known collections.

Here is the 2nd Oldenburg FA cross I class

My small contribution also to PRINZEN size awards.

                          Hi Emanuel,

There are probably more than 3 out there!

Fyi, I believe my lower right example is probably a repro. I've included it to show that nothing is safe from the fakers!

                          Regards
                          Mike

Sorry Mike, seems you found time and take a picture from all your Prinzen FA crosses as the only one known from your collection was this one:

Ralph got a nice piece too, so these was the pieces that I mention before and had as a reference.

And yes, the lower right is a REPRO that you can see in regular basis on Ebay, even at respectable sellers in the past like Michelju for example.

Bad pin and catch, low quality wreath and date, but mostly poor design of the crown are some of the bad signs of that cross, though I have to say they done a good job with the body.

Thanks for sharing the rest of your Prinzen collection anyway

                              Imperial purists look away please.

With the risk of being banned from the Imp section for life.

Celebrating my 1000th post with some 30mm 'Prinzen' (or are they Prinzesses) Mothers Crosses.
