Your cross is exactly the one I saw that made me clean mine up. I wanted it to look just like yours .

They do look very nice when cleaned, and looking as they would have had to for parade etc. However, I have never cleaned mine - it came to me as it is, well, a bit brighter then than it is now as it's starting to 'dull down'. But, nice to be an inspiration occasionally

All of them are very nice.

At the moment there is a "sell your Godet and KMST EK1s" on german Ebay.. In the last three weeks there were around 10 Godet EK1 (needles, screwbacks, fangs) sold and around 3 KMST (needle, 2x"razor"- back).. It´s just crazy.. There were no Godet for about 1 1/2 years and now such a wave..

But damn, my vaulted Godet Berlin doesn´t want to come around

David, I share your situation- give me any cross shiny and new, let it rest for half a year in my collection and it is covered with nice brown patina, sometimes even with rainbow patina.. I have a real Patina spwanig station.. Anyhow, I love good patina so this comes very handy

you are right. My best guess would be that sellers watch forums.
However yesterday was really a meybauer KMST Godet with Fangs crazy. The same seller also had the cross I posted. This cross has the same back (thick round lump of solder to connect the thread) as the others with the accepted Godet core. I am convinced the one I showed is a fake, but why ruin a perfect Godet to create this? We' ll never know.
