What ribbon/medal bars do I need for this Waffenrock?

Very rarely do I get a Waffemrock with loops for ribbon bars or medal bars, but this one has two sets. One on the chest and one up high near the neck. (?) This man was a very senior NCO (Feldwebel) for 2. Kurhessisches Infanterie-Regt. Nr.82 (Göttingen), and the tunic pre-dates 1897, so Franco-Preußen war is not out of the quetion at all. I have marked the loops in green. Any suggestions for what I should be looking for? I know jack s**t about ribbon bars or medal bars.

    Thanx, Tony

Because it is pre WW1 period, you should get some trapezoid bar, what can be wear as a ribbon- or medal bar.

    One safe option would be:

Lower set though, yes? That should not be to hard to find, anyone?

What about the one so high on the chest? WTF is that??

        Tony,
How about the old style pin back long service award lower and a ribbon bar up high? The placement looks a bit high for a ribbon/medal bar but try it.

My guesses would be an 1897 Medal on a single mount and a long service schnalle.

Two sets of loops...but maybe they were not used at the same time. One set for a medal bar, one set for a ribbon bar. ?? Just a guess. Ammersee

I have never seen two sets of loops like that. I am NOT saying it is bad, only that I have never seen it.

All right. Thank you very much guys. So I need to find myeslf a an 1897 Centenar medal on a single trapezoid bar for the upper loops and a long service clasp for the lower loops. I have over 50 Waffenrock, but almost no medals, so this should be interesting. Tony<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
