    That one is DEFINATELY FAKE. Just check out any thread on "Latvian
    fakes" and you will see more examples of this one.

    I just placed the winning bid on a nice "S-W" marked 1914 1st class
    just about 20 minetes ago.

      Many thanks! I will peak into the Latvian fake research. I was so obsessed with the 9th bead, I hadn't focused much on anything else!

      Greg, do you use US ebay, or German Ebay, or what? Granted I was looking only for 1870s and not 1914s, so my luck could change.

          That's the one. I like the patina and broken core. To me, crosses like that
          have more charactor and sence of history then the bright shiney ones.

          I've collected a lot of interesing variations over the years and never
          really paid much attention to makers marks. This will be my first S-W marked cross.
