    Mystery EK Spange

Maybe one of you might know what this is. It measures exactly 25mm. The images have an amber color to them, but this is silver, not brass, with a beautiful iridescent patina. Not magnetic. The pictures do it no justice as it has a very high quality appearance in hand..

    Opinions?

    All the best ..

            Hello

A very nice item As Don says, it looks like one of the many patriotic badges produced and sold during WW1. A very nice, and collectible piece.

            Regards
            David

I'm not sure what it is, but I know I like it. It's interesting that it has an attachment slip for a ribbon to pass through. I'd expect a simple patriotic button to have a pinback. That said, this is certainly no official or licensed attachment for the Iron Cross ribbon.

Can I ask where it came from?
              Best regards,

Really nice piece Mike. I have a similar one in a pin-back... but he detail on yours is much better.

...possibly for sliding onto pocket watch fob, I saw few fobs with black ribbon and the EK motif, ....maybe just a variation.
