              John,
This one is OK but there are a couple of things that I would not like. First, the EK2 and possibly the LS have replaced rings. Not a huge deal but not for me. Secondly, the EK2 and the Hindenburg cross both look to have been stored in a wet place and then corroded. Thier condition does not match the others or the condition of the bar. With this type of bar the awards are easy to switch so you never know where they actually came from. If these issues do not bother you and you like the piece then I believe it is real.

typical bavarian medal bar for soldiers with typical bavarian reverse backing material - absolutely no problem with this one....

good original medal bar - but not 100 % typical bavarian style `cause the iron cross is at first place. if it were 100 % typical the bavarian military merit cross 3rd class with X were at 1st and at 2nd the iron cross.

                  bavarians don`t like prussians

But it is in accordance with the post-34 regulations. Even Bavarians had to follow the regs.

yes very correct. - but i know some medal bars, who were original but not made like the 1934/1935 regulations...

other medal bars were produced with the wrong ribbons...

in my opinion not every little manufacturer knew these regulations.

i love the woven backing you find on bars from Bavaria and South Germany.

I love the bars where they acctually tack on the extra award, instead of going o the expensive of having them remounted on a new bar, good improvisation in austere times!
