        Eric,

I think you meant to say Schott and not Juncker.

Schott was the designer. Who the maker is, well, I'm not sure we know.
          Nice badge though.

Looks like an excellent example of a Schott badge.

Looks like a textbook example to me.

I think Gordon W provided some evidence to link the Schott fec badges to Juncker as the actual manufacturer.

                Gentlemen,

Thank you all for your positive comments. I was using the reference from Gordon's "Torpedo los!" as the reason for referring to the badge as a Juncker.

                Best,

                Erik

Really? I have to do some digging for old reference PICS. I passed on a marked Juncker with a wehrpass or "something" several years ago and opted to buy a 1st pattern E-boat (Schwerin) instead. Thought I did good until Gordon told me how rare the badge was and to have the papework as well... Detlev had listed both on a Friday update, circa 2005??

Let me look if I still have those PICS. I thought the Juncker badge had different lines.

Well, I got lucky as I have lost so many PICs in the past.

Here's the example Detlev sold on a Friday update: 12/02/2005.

                    It's a marked Juncker.

Worked the PICs a bit; here's a closer look.

Here's a comparison shot of this one and Eric's Schott badge. I can see some clear differences. So, did/would Juncker have two completely different dies for this?

                          Tim,

Thanks a million for posting the marked CEJ. You're right - absolutely different die than the "Schot" badge.

I thought that the marked Juncker looked familiar, so I pulled this unmarked badge out of my collection (also bought from Detlev a long time ago) and it looks very similar to the marked CEJ. Big difference is that the deck gun is on the other side of the radio mast.

No problems, glad to help out!

Oh, and the answer is yes! I'll contact you tomorrow on the details.
