I would say the cross looks good imo, but the hardware looks kinda strange
Any signs of hardware repairs or replacement?

The hardware looks wrong, even for a 3rd Reich piece.

Agreed. It looks as though the pin was maybe added later ,looks modern.

You would get more responses posting this down in the Imperial Forum.

This pin is not a one-off replacement. There are other examples out there. Imo 100% fake.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

We now have two threads about this cross. Here is what I wrote in the other one:

I have a feeling that one is fake, but I don't know for sure. I wouldn't own it, myself.

Someone has been perfecting a fake Imperial-size frame, and making increasingly convincing
Schinkels with it. Why wouldn't they start on Imperials as well? I also don't like the pin, or the
finish (looks a bit shoddy), and the core is not one I've seen (but that's neither here nor
there -- there are a lot I've not seen).

Let's wait to hear from some others, but for now I'd wait before buying (or selling) this one.

I trust that Mike Kenny's opinion is correct, so I would stay far away from this one.

The fakers have been very active lately.
                Best regards,
                Streptile
