    One-piece EK1 pinback

I'd like to show you guys this nice one-piece EK1 I recently got from the eStand.

I know this type came with at least two pin/hinge styles, as well as in a screwback. I've always liked this pin the best, so when I saw it offered at a very good price I jumped at it. I did not expect to like it as much as I do.

As far as I know this maker is unknown, although Otto Schickle has been suggested. Can anyone shed any further light?

    Thank you for looking.

    Best regards,
    Streptile

      Thanks, Steve.

Here is the other pinback, not mine:

      This one seems vaulted.

        Hi Trevor,

nice cross. IMO Looks like a 3rd Reich era setup. The second cross has also an interesting setup, also seen on the 3 piece construction 14 and (one piece?) 39 crosses (as you well know ). I came across this cross with an interesting needle and maker mark at "a well known German dealer":

        Best regards,
        Michel

Trevor, that second one you showed was on Estand for awhile. I was considering it, but financial discretion won over. Do you know what happened to it after?

Interesting badge there Michel. What does that mark say?

Steve, I remember this one, too, on the eStand. I passed for the same reason you did, but then was happy I did, as the other one showed up with the pin I prefer. I don't know what happened to it, but I do remember it was discussed here before it was sold:

...so the original owner may still have it.

              What does that mark say?
I think it says Heinrich Timm on the box and HCH. Timm Berlin C15? or 48 or any combination of those numbers.. on the cross.

              Best regards,
              Michel

Very nice example of the one piece 20's-30's style replacement cross.
Now you need to find the variant core with the "straight 9".
