Since this medal is so common I would ask if anyone has ever seen a fake of this type?

I Think it would cost more to make a fake one. Than a real one would cost. LOL.

You would be wrong to assume there are no fakes. I've seen them on ebay. How much do you think it costs to have a Pakistani company pound out 1000 of these?

I think it's a bit harsh to say they are worthless. They still meant something to somebody. Also, if you collect medal bars you'll have to learn to like them.

I meant no disrespect to those who have got them back then. Just there value in dollars today. Best regards.

$10-20 for an item that can be faked for 1 cent.

Hi there. The unmagnetic ones are quite expensive compared to the regular ones.

....1/4 as much as it costs to make an Kalashnikov round...6 cents!

Repro Hindy cross for $16.95 at http://www.wwmeinc.com - out of stock though - Why would you? you could pick up a real one for cheaper on ebay - there were over 6million awarded to combatants.

Yours looks real - are you sure its non-magnetic? It has one of the 196 marks listed here - http://bayoswede.zoomin.se/index/29788.html - although 0.1 to 0.16 don't have the square there isn't a lot of consistency in the marks.
