Cased 1914 EK 1 - near mint

This is the nicest one I have in my collection, my pride and joy. Maker marked WS.

Given its condition I have to assume it was never worn or perhaps not even actually ever awarded. Or perhaps it was the recipients second (duplicate) decoration.

Also, the "framed" interior of the case is pretty unique, at least to me. I haven't seen many of these before. Are these rare?

I'd welcome any comments and feedback.

the case looks good from the outside, the velvet inside also look good, but I cant remember ever seeing a "framed" interior as you say.

The cross looks very nice.

The EK is an awarded piece I would have expected it in a brown case with a golden EK on the top.That case here is a known,but not so easy to find variation.Yours is in an absolutely perfect condition(like the "WS")......full score!
