    Saxon ribbon bar question

I don't have a picture of the ribbon bar in question handy (my camera is 40 miles away, on the other side of a mountain), but hopefully this cobbled together representation will do...

Given this configuration, would it be more likely that the second ribbon is a Saxon St. Henry Order Knight's Cross, or the St. Henry Order Medal?

    Thanks,

    Fam!

Hi Chris, with the FAM present on the bar, it is most likely an enlisted/NCO bar, hence a Silver Bravery Medal. Possibly gold, but there's no way to ever know for sure. Extreme long shot and your NCO was bumped up to Leutnant and earned the RK, but incidence of this is few and far between. Please remember to post a pix (real one) when you can!

        Hello Chris,

I think we have a match a few years later.

If the two indeed belonged to the same person, that policeman must have has some seriously nasty weather in his beat to wear out the ribbons like he did. My bar can't be any older than 1934 due to the Ehrenkreuz, and yours can't be any newer than 1938. Heck of a lot of wear for four years.

It would be tremendously cool if they were siblings though..

          Thanks for sharing!

Forgot to ask before... Are there any numbers of how many silver & gold bravery medals were issued?

            Thanks,

Now, if we only knew how many were cops...

                Thanks,

I was just searching through some of the old threads that I've posted in, and I didn't put two and two together at the time, but these two bars are from the same dealer. Guess we really do have a match. (Or one heck of a coincidence.)

                    Hi Chris,

you are right, it is the same one. I don't understand why some dealers are breaking groups?

Probably the same thing that makes them put little stickers on thier auctions...
