Is the Braunschweig Knight a 1. Class in gilt or a 2. Class in silver? Greetings Mike

I believe it is a silver 2d class but I will ask.

What a great looking bar. This what makes Imperial so nice.

          Hi Don,

it is only a idea, but look maybe in the Ranglists to:

          Richard von Koppy

          or

          Justus John Roeder

but both were owner from the RAO3 with loop.

          Greetings Mike

No not Roeder he was too young, 14 years 1870th.

Thanks Mike. Where can I find more info on Herr von Koppy?

In the Ranglisten and in Ordenalmanch, I look to tomorrow. The problem with this bar is the RAO3 without loop. We can not be sure that it maybe have been a 4. Class.

              Greetings Mike

Don, I think Daniel Krause identified the owner previously.

I sent him a pm when I posted it. I'm sure he will chime in sooner or later.

In the Deutscher Ordens Almanach 1908 can be found on Richard Koppy of the following entry:

                      Oberst a.D., Kiel, Niemannsweg 18, born: 21.01.1853

The awards fit. The only problem is the loop. A Prussian with a 3rd Class without a loop is not impossible but unusual. If this bar actually a 4th Class is a hard one.

                      I'm curious what Daniel says,

                      Greetings Mike

                        Hi Friends,

I know this bar as it still belonged to my good Friend Tony Colson.
It was one of my first IDs which I did for him years ago.

                        Thats definetly Koppys bar.

                        Greetings

                        Daniel

                          ...P.S.
                          RAO3 with or without bow...
There are some examples that people who had the bow did note wear it or even lost it.

Mike, check for example the usual pics from General v.Plettenberg.

                          Greetings

                          Daniel
