This EK 1 has recently been sold.

it is marked DW?
The core (IMO) matches this ek2:

What do you think? Fake or real... if its real is this a new maker?

I'm not sure about that DW mark. I haven't seen anything like that before.

First impression is that it is one of the recent original EK2 to frankenstein fantasy EK1 conversions. Original ground core and obverse frame, fantasy hardware on the reverse.

I am leaning in Mike's direction on this one. Not sure if it started out as
a Ek2 or not but the backing plate/screwnut are not original to the cross
and the makers mark is IMO cmpletely fake.
