Not 100% sure if that's a square punch.

Steve is right it's hard to be 100% but I think the odds are pretty good.
Comparing core details to a known example would help to prove yes or no.

The square punches I've seen seem to have a finer stamp, not as thick as this one. How many marks have we seen that are too hard to read? This may be one of them, just resembling a square punch. Mayne seeing the core will help.

How about an "F."

I thought it might be an F that had missed the ring until i saw there was a square punch, i'll pop some photos up, i spent the evening cataloging my WW1 EK2's some of the marks are terrible even with a high power lense
