    Looks like...

... a WW2 era 1914 EK1 with added engraving. Note the "fishtail" pin and mounting block, as well as the plate mounting the catch. This cross was not made pre-1918. I cannot see the engraving clear enough to comment.

I'm not too wild about the footed catch on this cross. The engraving seems to be machine done from what I can see. Just my opinion maybe some else has more to add.

At first glance, it looks like a post war EK1 which could have been engraved by a jeweler for a anniversary gift or what-ever (stretching it I know..) but waaaaaait a minute............is that a post W.W.II Souval copy style stamped metal hook on the bottom??

          Cross looks cattywampus to me.

I don't know if its the picture, but the 12 o clock arm looks like its deformed. The edge seems to run uphill.

                Ja! Smushed!

Dropped on it's head at birth. Also knocked the pin back up the hinge quite a bit. I wonder how far it actually opens?
