Again a strange EKII 1914 makers mark

    Hi and happy easter,

I've posted this scan/painting some months ago. Maybe now someone can tell me more about this strange and unidentified makers mark on this EKII 1914.

    Best regards

I've checked the mark many times. Could it be this mark because there was a makers mark +M+ but did it have some kind of crest around?

    Best regards

--The 'crest' could have been the edge of the stamp, no?

        Hi,

        this is possible too.
Anyone here with an EKII with the +M+ makers mark?

Yup, that's what it is. I just pulled my +M+ out of the frame and it vhas the same crescent depression around the M. The +'s are actual crosses, too.

              Hey cool,

so we got another mark identified. Now to the strong part of the mission, who was " + M + "? This might be impossible to find out...
Sadly they don't have these nice lists for the LDO of WWII for WWI makers anymore.

              Thanks!
