First off, I must apologize for the poor scan quality of the images. My scanner has been acting up. Perhaps my dear friend and fellow Forumite Tim Calvert will volunteer his help (VERY BROAD HINT) and I can replace these images with better ones.
This example is very worn. The definition of the crown and 1870 is quite sharp. Beading is very detailed but shows quite a bit of wear and tear. The core is stepped. On the reverse: J. Wagner & S. 14 Lo"th. Pin is round. I had an extremely tough time trying to capture the hallmark, as the pin only opens to about 125 degrees, so image is blurry and a failure.
The cross measures approx. 33mm (I'm not the type to carry around caliphers, but I probably should).
All in all a nice example of a rare piece of history.
