    new sword

    i have a question,just picked up a sword, pre-ww1,prussia blue paneled sword marked brunswick, regimental no. 17, other side marked peninsula,sicilien,waterloo and marslatore,also blued panel, what does it signify? i sorry no camera, greg

      Hello Jackhamerfive,

      From your description, I assume that your sword looks like the one shown below. As such, these swords belonged to the men in the Brunswick Hussar Regiment nr. 17.

        yes exact sword,very close to mint,i paid 1000.00 for that one, i still get want to know other blade of the blade,waterloo etc, greg

          Here is a close-up of the other side of my sword blade. Unfortunately, as you can see, it is very badly worn. Inspected closely, it shows a panorama of a cavalry attack.
