    1914 EK2 ribbons

Hello, mates. A simple yet important question; Are these two ek ribbons contempory, genuine or repros? I know that when i comes to ribbons, the best way to find out about them is to handle them. But, since that is not possible, at least at the moment, i'd like to hear your opinion. Thanks in advance!

      Look fine to me

They look exactly like the ribbons that I purchased from a gentleman in the UK for my (2) "naked" 1914 EK 2's. They are pre-1945, made during WWII, and don't glow under black light. I believe that my ribbons are made of silk too.

I didn't mind putting replacement ribbons on my EK's, as long as they are pre-1945 made. They look MUCH better with ribbons!

Feel them, smell them and check them with a blacklight.

As mentioned above the only real way to check ribbons is to hold them, blacklight them, compare the weaving of the ribbon to originals.

Well, i can only assume that these two are originals, based on your advice and my own extensive study. Thanks for your help, mates!
