Not the prettiest EK1 - velvet core

    Measures about 43.10mm by 43.90mm.

    Eight loops on the back.

Certainly NOT the most symmetrical frame I've seen.

    Thoughts?

Looks like one for the trash.

              Not for my collection.

The chances of this being genuine are about as high as winning the lottery

Looks like someone tried to fake the real velvet 1813 EK1 that was shown in Preveteria's (sp?) book, "The Iron Time"

                        too easy to fake
I think 'not symetrical' is probably a result of opening the cross, adding the velvet, adding the back, and filing it all down, and thinking the non-symetrical-ness would be part of the overall deception
can you tell I don't believe?
I bet Robert could name the 3rdReich maker of that frame
                        regards

                          Probably a WWI-era frame.

Jeez, look at the fingerprint on this thing. Run it through a database and we may just be able to take one more faker off the streets for the good of mankind...
