Do you think A.) is a Ninth bead fake with "camoed" ninth pearl? I don´t see any bead either... After some educating at this forum I thought it is fake because it has same crown on obverse as well as reverse and there are san-serif oakleaves...
To B.) - at least I don´t like so much welding on Kriegsdenkmünze

Hi Miro,

for A, the over and under 8 in combination with the form of the crown and the W is the giveaway.

I personally will not dismiss B as a fake without having it in hand. The welding of the 1870/71 medal is OK, I had a few which looked the same. The cross is a known 1914 model, you have to have it in hand to judge the soldering (has it been opened?) and the sharpness of the 1870 (has the 1914 been removed and a 1870 been returned?)

Hi Michel,

Thanks for great info. I am happy to say mine is C.) It just arrived. There are some strange scratches on the rim (you can see them on photos as well), otherwise beautiful. Now I am looking for some normal size piece, so I am very thankful for any advice.
