    1914 EK1 'Clamshell' Style Screwback

    Hello

I've just received this 1914 EK1 screwback. Three piece construction, magnetic cored. It is vaulted and measures 43.42 high x 43.35mm wide.

As usual, any comments or observations welcomed.

    Thanks.

    Regards
    David

Looks like a good one to me It appears to have a silver plated frame
instead of solid silver. It has nice honest wear to the core and frame.
            Possibly made by Deumer.

                            Hello

Many thanks for the comments and the comparision photos. Mine looks like the identical twin to Dons, right down to the die flaws visible on the arms. It also looks pretty similar to Steves as well (I can't tell from the photo if the die flaws are there or not, but the core looks pretty similar) aside from the extra bit where the screw post is.

As Greg says, the front of the frame is probably silver plated as opposed to full silver.

Now to try and find a nice 'pillow back' and all the others that I want

                            Regards
                            David
