Oberst Niemeyer - Near the end of his service

My old scan of this bar was to big for here, so I had to reduce resolution and reduce the size by almost 20% . . . this bar is huge!

                    Hi Guys,
what is the significance or reason for the trapezoid ribbon bar as opposed to the regular ribbon bar?
                    Thanks, Sal

                      Hi Sal,
the trapezoid ribbon bar-style is the older one. Often they were constructed with hooks on the backside, so that you can wear them with or without medals.
Take the time to read Rick Lundströms Ribbon-bar-Article. Very recommendable!

Gerd - I am 90% sure that came from Rick V, the Niemeyer bars as well.

                        These are some magnificent bars

David, you can be 100% sure. It came from me. I sold it over ebay, before i knew Stogie. I am glad, it found a good home.
                          best regards,
                          Gerd
