odd ?? on these 2 iron crosses

ok, yesterday i was going to check all my medals ribbons under a uv blacklight tube flashlight, well
found 2 interesting iron cross medals that had some very odd looking paint on the core.

one is the ic 2nd class weighs a light 0.5 oz
IS NON MATALIC all the way even the ring, may have a brass core,
no maker maker mark on ring.
BUT the black paint shows up as a dark mustard yellow under the blacklight??
could this be a modern copy medal?
or is this a new paint job on the core?

all my other ic 2nd class medals have the regular paint that does not glow...

now for the IC 1st class weighs only 4oz
3 piece construction also with a non matalic core and frame even the pin and latch are not matlic.
same thing paint is a dark mustard yellow under the blacklight??

i tried to get a pic under the blacklight to show this but my camera will not pick up the yellow color. sorry.

has anyone else tried this or found this on there medals????

thxs any info would be great
    thxs joe

I'd like to see the reverse of the EK1 as well. It could be a 57er, or a TR piece, couldn't it? I think that core was used for both.
          Best regards,

Indeed, and the more I look at it, the 2nd class, looks 30's.

Not 57. Interesting crosses. Let me look at my picture library to see if I can match these.
