    Ek2 Fr

I just received this Ek2, and would ask for your opinions please. It is three piece, with magnetic core. It has great detail, and high gloss black "baked" on paint. The ring is marked, however, I put it under a loupe and cannot read it. The seller said Fr was firmly stamped into the ring and readable. It does not look like the Fr's posted in the data base. Lastly, the ring is sloppily soldered together... does it look right to you guys. Comments on the ribbon are welcomed also... it's suspose to be original. Thanks again, Chuck

It sure looks like a "Fr" to me. I can read the makers mark in post
your post #5 pretty easily and if you check the "Fr" thread in the
database--look at post #19. It's the same style core .

I see it now. Good attention to detail Greg. Thanks. I'm new to the world of Ek's, but alot of them are out there right now at fair prices, and, I can't help myself. I've got my stoker in many fires, might as well put it in this one also. I figured you guys that have specifically dealt with them over the years can spot them quite easily. Thanks again.
