Iron Cross ! Opinion please.

Hi, Guys I have an iron cross 1914 2ª class that it is made in three parts and total of iron, perfect. I never looked at an equal one. Please opinion ok. All the answers are welcome.

"MFM" is a makers mark we have seen before. We
don't have a name to go with it but it is a good mark.

Greg told you all you needed to know. An original cross.

Silvered brass frame more than likely a post war /1920's example. Quality of these is typically of that post war period Ferg1.

Are you sure the mark is not MFW if you look closer?

What shall we say? Generally the rarer, unusual or questionable ones will generate more discussion. Also, the photos are a too poor for detailed observations. But as Greg said, it looks to be an original piece.

i think if you look real closely you will see the maker mark is MFH . looks to me like a textbook example of this maker. that crown configuration, poor quality of core paint, unsoldered ribbon ring. you will probably find that a magnet will stick to the ring, the core and the frame on these. i like them. must have 5 or 6. hope this helps a bit.
